Work Experience

Barrister Zayeema Khan has a strong legal background with over nine years of diverse experience in corporate law, employment law, regulatory compliance, and arbitration. She began my career as a Legal Manager at ODIN Technology, wherein she drafted and reviewed key legal agreements and ensured compliance with Bangladeshi labor laws. Her role involved mitigating risks for employers through precise legal documentation and contract management.

She then worked as an external legal counsel at Banglalink Communications Ltd which is the third-largest mobile network operator in Bangladesh , focusing on the Bangladesh Telecommunication Act 2001 and regulatory compliance requirement with the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC). Her responsibilities included conducting legal research, reviewing telecommunications licenses, and ensuring the company adhered to regulatory directives.

Prior to working in Legal Counsel, she has worked as senior associate at FM Associates, which is an international full serviced law firm having offices in India and London, for 7 years.

She regularly advises local and international clients on a wide range of legal matters, including corporate structuring, employment law, arbitration, and regulatory issues. She has played a pivotal role in advising foreign entities entering the Bangladeshi market, providing legal opinions on complex regulatory frameworks, and drafting key agreements. She has also been recognized by the World Bank for her contributions to the Doing Business Report since 2017.
