Barrister Nabil Hazzaz, Advocate at the District & Sessions Judge Court, Dhaka, and Associate of Legal Counsel since February 2026, holds international accreditation in mediation and negotiation. His practice focuses on Labour and Employment Law, Corporate and Commercial matters, Litigation, and Regulatory Compliance. He brings expertise in legal research, drafting, documentation, and vetting of diverse legal instruments and commercial agreements.
Barrister Nabil Hazzaz is an Associate at Legal Counsel, where his practice focuses on corporate matters, statutory compliance, commercial contracts, and labor and employment issues.
Before joining Legal Counsel in 2026, Nabil served as a Legal Executive at British American Tobacco (BAT) Bangladesh. In this capacity, he managed a demanding commercial portfolio, drafting, negotiating, and vetting over 150 complex agreements, ranging from high-value construction and supply contracts to service and maintenance agreements. His work focused heavily on regulatory compliance and minimizing contractual exposure for the multinational entity.
During his tenure at Lawyers & Co., he worked extensively on appellate pleadings, criminal revisions, and bail petitions. By conducting deep-dive legal research and actively shaping litigation strategy, he gained highly practical frontline courtroom experience. He previously built his foundational knowledge in corporate governance, compliance audits, and contract structuring as a Research Associate at A.S & Associates in 2021.
His interest in strategic litigation and complex dispute resolution was first cultivated during a 2019 mini‑pupillage at Tanjib Alam & Associates. There, he observed senior counsel appearing before the Supreme Court of Bangladesh in a substantive matter. The experience left a lasting impression, reinforcing his commitment to the practice of strategic litigation and shaping his enduring focus on sophisticated dispute resolution.
