Barrister Mohammad Moyen Uddin, an enthusiastic and diligent lawyer, joined Legal Counsel as an Associate in 2022 with a range of experience in litigation. His expertise and area of interests predominantly focus on legal research and drafting. Amongst other professional engagements, he invests most of his professional time in conducting court cases, drafting various legal documents and formulating legal opinions on various corporate and commercial complex issues.
Apart from his academic achievements, many of his involvement and accomplishments during his student life include participation in sports, photography, inter-university debate, volunteering for the disabled & helpless, and various other cultural activities. In his spare time, he loves dusting books (the non-legal ones!) on the shelves to catch up on his good old pursuit of reading when time so kindly lets him do so.
Barrister Moyen started his career in 2013. He shadowed his father as a pupil which gave him a good grounding in civil litigation as well as vetting of different instruments. Gradually he got exposure to and thereby gathered substantial experience in drafting various litigation and non-litigation documents. He grew expertise in producing legal opinion on various commercial and land related issues. He also gained experience in criminal cases. Barrister Moyen later joined F.I. Chowdhury & Associates and provided legal services to top-tier Banks and various government institutions representing them both in and outside court in various disputes and cases. His legal research skills in producing a satisfactory work have been praised and recognised by his colleagues and seniors on a number of occasions. His keen interest in corporate law started growing which eventually propelled him to join Legal Counsel as an Associate in 2022 and ever since he has been dealing with legal issues of fairly complicated to highly complicated nature producing best possible reliefs to the clients.
Awarded certificate as an UN Online Volunteer for successfully completing a project with ‘Disaster Waste Recovery, UK’ on ‘Disaster Management Act 2012’ (Bangladesh).
Worked as a Radio Artiste in the External Service of Bangladesh Betar, the overseas broadcast of the national radio station of Bangladesh Government, anchoring weekly news and presenting various other programmes of both recorded and live categories.
